Prompt: Bacon and chocolate, caramel and cheddar… Is there an unorthodox food pairing you really enjoy? Share with us the weirdest combo you’re willing to admit that you like — and how you discovered it.
Okay, so I’m not sure if this is considered an unorthodox pairing, but it is the pairing I’ve received the most judgment from my husband over.
Here are the steps:
- Start with one container of Funfetti Vanilla Icing & one container of rainbow sprinkles
- Mix sprinkles into icing until there are no sprinkles left
- Place icing in the freezer to sit for a minimum of three hours
- Grab a fork & dig in!
To this day I still have no idea when or how I discovered this. My best guess is back in university when I would randomly pop in the store after work shifts.
Bonus Pairing: Marshmallows & BBQ Sauce
Unfortunately I can’t take credit for this one. I discovered it when one day, mid lecture, a former classmate randomly took it out right next to me…No, I did not try it (she also did not offer).
